Dr.David Patterson
Dr. David Patterson grew up in St. Paul, MN. He attended the University of Notre Dame where he completed his undergraduate studies with a major in biology. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Minnesota in 2013. After completing an internship at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI, he went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
As a comprehensive ophthalmologist, Dr. Patterson manages and treats patients with a wide variety of eye conditions including dry eye, blepharitis, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic-related eye problems, and functional eyelid abnormalities including droopy eyelids, excess upper eyelid skin, and eyelid lesions.
Dr. Patterson is Board Certified and is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology. He has presented at several different ophthalmology meetings and has authored several research papers.
Aside from his medical practice, Dr. Patterson enjoys spending time with his wife and 5 children, and also enjoys many outdoor activities including fishing, cycling, and camping.
